Program Overview
Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Essentials is a one-day interactive experience designed to help individuals and teams understand the basic elements of developing and selecting performance measures that are most meaningful.
Participants will be introduced to the MPRA KPI Development Model, as well as numerous other development tools and techniques that can be used to effectively measure and improve strategic, operational, employee, risk, or project performance. The Balanced Scorecard Institute’s (BSI) Measure-Perform-Review-Adapt (MPRA) framework is a disciplined, practical, and tested approach for developing and implementing a KPI system. It gives organizations a way to systematically articulate a shared vision of what you are trying to achieve, set practical goals, develop meaningful indicators that can be managed and used for decision-making, and establish long-term discipline around getting things done.
This one-day overview of the KPI development process is designed to provide a fundamental level of knowledge for individuals to learn the importance of proper KPI development and deployment.
The course is a mix of lectures, discussion, and hands-on exercises designed to provide participants with key principles necessary to develop effective performance measures. The most senior BSI facilitating consultants will work closely with participants so they can understand the important business drivers and best practices that ensure a successful performance measurement system implementation. Through short lectures, case studies, and applied exercises, participants will learn the fundamentals of KPI development and how to align measures that drive improvement to strategy. The emphasis is on shared participant experiences, lessons learned, best practices, applied exercises, reinforcement, and support. Participants will learn from each other and their facilitator and leave with a toolkit of proven resources.
